About Us

Who We Are?

The Mum Cheptoo Foundation (MCF) is a registered community-based organization working at the intersection of menstrual health, mental wellbeing, and women’s empowerment in Kericho County.

We provide menstrual health resources for girls and create safe spaces for boys to be heard, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive without limitations.

Our programs are shaped by listening—to the voices, needs, and realities of the women and girls we serve. We ground our work in evidence, best practices, and lessons learned through implementation. Women’s health and empowerment aren’t charity; they’re human rights we’re committed to upholding.

Breaking Barriers, Building Futures

Dignity and Opportunity for Every Child

We empower girls through menstrual health resources and create safe spaces where boys can be heard. Every child deserves the chance to thrive—without barriers, without limitations, and with the support they need to reach their full potential.

Period poverty shouldn’t determine a girl’s future. We provide dignity kits, menstrual health education, and school-based support programs that ensure girls stay in class, stay confident, and pursue their dreams without shame or interruption.

Boys deserve safe spaces to express themselves, share their struggles, and receive support. Through mentorship circles and community programs, we help boys develop emotional resilience, build healthy relationships, and become compassionate leaders in their communities

Lasting change requires community ownership. We work alongside schools, families, healthcare providers, and local leaders to build sustainable systems that continue transforming lives long after we leave. When communities lead, impact multiplies
